The Investor-Residency, or as some call it ´Golden-Visa´ is for applicants who wish to benefit from the advantages of being a resident of Spain and yet not be classed as a resident for tax purposes. This permit permits its holders to work, start businesses, employ or be employed.
It requires an investment in property (one or several), per application. Provided the required sum of the property value is unencumbered.
This permit is is also possible to obtain by depositing funds in a country-national bank account.

- EUR 500,000 minimum real estate purchase
- This investment can be one or several properties which amount to the required sum
- Any investment should be unencumbered
GOLDEN-VISA in PORTUGAL
Minimum Investment:
280.000 €
- EUR 500,000 minimum real estate purchase (residential property is limited to designated interior areas) or EUR 400,000 in a low population density area
- EUR 350,000 minimum real estate purchase for the refurbishment of residential properties older than 30 years or in an area of urban regeneration, including the cost of renovations (residential property is limited to designated interior areas) or EUR 280,000 in a low population density area
- Any investment should be unencumbered
