Marbella ranks third in the ‘Top 5’ of the cities with the highest rental housing in Spain, with a price of 22 euros per square meter (m2), according to the latest report on rental housing on maximum prices and minimums of the main Spanish cities prepared by the appraisal company TecniTasa (Técnicos en Tasación S.A.).
In first place, Barcelona is once again the city with the highest rent, with its maximum price on Paseo de Gracia standing at 36 euros/m2. The ‘Top 5’ of this classification is completed by Madrid (35 euros/m2), Marbella (22 euros/m2), San Sebastián (21 euros/m2) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (20 euros/m2). At the opposite extreme are Elche, Alicante, Castellón de la Plana, Almería or Huelva, which do not exceed 2.50 euros/m2.
The TecniTasa study indicates that renting a 150 m2 house on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona for a month now costs 5,400 euros, 150 euros more than renting a house of the same surface but on Calle de Serrano in Madrid (5,250 euros / month), while in Marbella, San Sebastián and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, they would pay around 3,000 euros per month.
